Otra vez vamos a celebrar HALLOWEEN. Independientemente de si Halloween nos gusta o no, es una magnífica oportunidad para la práctica de vocabulario y diferentes destrezas en inglés, como por ejemplo AQUÍ y AQUÍ. Hoy os propongo una actividad de comprensión lectora. La he hecho con los niños de 2º y con los niños de 6º y ha funcionado muy bien, con sus pequeñas adaptaciones.
Lo que más me gusta de la actividad:
salimos de clase, nos movemos por el colegio o por el patio (la parte que consideremos adecuada, teniendo a todos los peques a la vista).
trabajamos en grupos cooperativos, aunque no es una actividad que cumpla los requisitos del trabajo cooperativo. Sin embargo, sirve para que se siga reforzando la cohesion de cada grupo.
los niños se divierten, y así aprenden mas.
Para los más pequeños ponemos cartulinas con descripciones de los monstruos por las paredes del colegio. Cada descripción tiene un número. Por otro lado, ponemos los nombres de los monstruos. Los niños los tienen que descifrar. Con cada número tienen que presentar el nombre del monstruo correctamente escrito.
Para los más mayores: Lo mismo, pero sin nombres. Ellos tienen que dar el nombre del personaje.
Las descripciones de los monstruos:
I was wrapped in white and buried in my tomb a long time ago.
Now, I wait in the dark with my golden treasures all around.
Outside the sand piles high over the top of my tomb.

There is no fat on me! Or muscle either!
You might say that I’m all skin and bones-without the skin.
I rattle when I walk.
And my teeth chatter when I talk.

Most of the time I look just like you.
But once a month…I let my hair down and howl at the moon.
But look out!
If I bite you, you will become like me.
WHO AM I?
I live under bridges and in caves.
I eat travellers that pass my way.
I am large and ugly.
I carry a club.
Think of a word that rhymes with “roll”.
WHO AM I?
I walk through walls if I want.
Sometimes you can see me and sometimes you can’t.
I moan and I groan…
I rattle chains…
You can find me in old houses, graveyards and castles.
WHO AM I?
I come from far far away.
Most people think I’m green and hideous.
But really I’m not so bad.
I am just looking for a few Earthlings to put in my zoo back on my home planet…
